JNE Welding is one of Saskatchewan’s largest industrial custom steel fabricators. We are a Limited Partnership in which the economic development corporations of English River First Nations (Des Nedhe Developments) and Peter Ballantyne First Nations have each acquired 30% ownership in the company with JNE’s current owners retaining the remaining shares. This has proven to be a benefit for JNE as It allows us to be able to contribute to a stronger Saskatchewan economically and socially. At the same time helping industry fulfill a very important mandate of including First Nations people. JNE is and will continue to deliver on our promise, to deliver a high quality product on schedule with safety at the forefront.

JNE’s 81,000 square foot, 15 acre facility is located in Saskatoon and employs up to 150 full-time, highly skilled staff. We proudly serves the potash, and uranium mining industries as well as the oil sands and power distribution sectors in western Canada. We are committed to safety, and quality while delivering on our client’s unique requirements. Our roots are in Saskatchewan and we understand what it takes to support the demanding environmental challenges of mining in Western Canada. JNE is known in our industries for strong project management practices and fabricating a variety of scopes of work. These scopes have included, but aren’t limited to, structural steel, chutes, ore bins, tanks, pipe spooling, pressure vessels, and OEM processing equipment such as thickeners, rotary dryers, and conveyance systems. JNE is an engineered to order shop, we do not have a product line. We have developed fabrication and welding procedures for a vast array of alloys such as 316, 304H, 904L, 2205, Inconel, Monel and C276. We are registered on ISNetworld and are CWB, ASME, & ISO 9001:2015 certified. At JNE Welding we believe that safety is not just a set of rules but a way of life. Safety must be part of everything we do at our worksites and away from the workplace. We use the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association audit tool (Certificate of Recognition) to measure our health & safety program. The safety program also requires strong quality and productivity programs. As each program improves it will have a positive effect on the other programs. Outside of the workplace JNE Welding is actively promoting safety in our city and province.
