Cultural Heritage Risk Management/Archaeology:
Western Heritage began as specialists in assessing Cultural Heritage (CH) risk. As part of our service we can manage the legislative components such as archaeology, in addition to the intangible aspects of CH. We work with the your social responsibility managers to ensure the community concerns are fully recognized.
For those companies who do not require an integrated CH plan, Western Heritage is known internationally as a leading provider of heritage management services for the oil and gas and mining industry. We manage all types of heritage studies, from Stage 1 to 4, and from pre-contact to industrial studies.
Because archaeology and cultural engagement are intertwined, Western Heritage offers community engagement services based on a cultural landscape methodology.
Western Heritage offers a full range of Remote Sensing Services, GPS Mapping and GIS services ranging from large scale geo-data management projects such as road networks, to monitoring facilities such as tailing ponds or environmental performance using optical and radar satellite imagery.
EFMP:Environmental Footprint Monitoring Platform.
The Environmental Footprint Monitoring Platform (EFMP) extracts environmental indicators from historical and current high resolution satellite imagery and presents them on geospatial dashboard for environmental managers. Using automation, the EFMP compiles baseline data going back to the early 1980s and can model environmental change into the future. The EFMP platform incorporates data from drones and ground-based sensors.
The EFMP can be applied at any point in the project life cycle and will reduce costs and improved transparency. In addition to the natural environment, the platform will monitoring changing landuse. The monitoring frequency can be customised to address the specific needs of each project stage.
Western Heritage has geotechnical specialists in various disciplines including near surface geophysics and geoarchaeology. Western owns and operates the latest technology including ground penetrating radar, magnetic gradiometer and susceptibility instruments, resistivity survey instruments, and POSL for relative dating.
UAV Monitoring and Inspection
Western Heritage has a wide variety of UAVs equipped with lidar, thermal and optical cameras. Using our management platform, Western Heritage specializes in linear developments such as pipelines and transmission lines.
